Since I-70 is a windy road, the easiest way to get to the lodge is by flying into Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) and either ordering a car service or taking a shuttle directly to the lodgeOnce you arrive at the airport, you can take a shuttle, taxi, or rental car directly to the lodge. If you’re coming from Denver International Airport (DEN), it’s about a 2-hour drive (around 120 miles). You can also arrange for private shuttle service or rent a car.There is also a bus service, which is a more affordable option for getting to the lodge. Once in Beaver Creek, you will either drive or get dropped off at Borders Lodge.During the ski season, some properties also offer free shuttle services to help you get around the resort and nearby areas.

For skiing, you typically need 2-3 base layers, depending on the length of your trip and the conditions you'll be skiing in. The first layer, worn closest to your skin, should be moisture-wicking to keep sweat away and help regulate body temperature. A good base layer will provide both insulation and comfort throughout the day. You’ll want at least one extra base layer to swap out if needed, especially if you’re skiing for multiple days. The second layer, or mid-layer, provides additional warmth and can be a fleece, down jacket, or wool sweater, depending on the weather. While you may not need to change this one often, having an extra mid-layer can offer flexibility for varying conditions. Generally, two base layers(one for wearing and one as a backup) are sufficient, but having a third layer for particularly cold or long days can help keep you comfortable.
